Kathy rides an Azub Six recumbent made in Czechoslovakia. It came with a sleek carbon fiber seat, but Kathy didn't find it to her liking. So we retrofitted a Rans, "tractor seat," and it's much more comfortable for her. She added Arkel panniers front and back and a small camera bag on the handlebar stem.
Eric rides a Surly Long Haul Trucker, and had it built up at our local Budget Bike shop in Madison, Wisconsin. Added a Serfas RX seat and Surly front and rear racks. Arkel front and rear panniers with a Topeak small handlebar bag and Jandd rack bag on the top of the front rack.
The front Surly rack proved to be a great spot for the Jandd bag. Changed out the cranks from 175mm to 165mm and it really felt much easier to pedal. My friend Dave H. said that crank length is similar to the first step on a ladder, the shorter the crank length the shorter the 1st step on a ladder. So for these old legs that fit the bill.
